We had a great installation last month and a couple of great meetings. This month is going to be even better. I look forward to seeing everybody in Lodge to ballot on the budget so that we can get things rolling. We have a fantastic menu for the dinners. I look forward to seeing everybody in Lodge.

Wow, I’m dizzy from the whirlwind of activity that comes with being installed. First off I would like to thank everyone for the vote of confidence in trusting me with the responsibilities of the continuation of Masonry this year and into the future. I am excited of what the upcoming year has to offer all of us. Your Worshipful Master and his merry band of ….Mason’s have a lot we want to bring forth to St. John’s Lodge. I offer you an opportunity to join into this creative energy and offer your assistance to various committees and events that we are wanting to do this year; the more involvement we have the better the event! Let’s show the community what Mason’s can do!

My personal corner. ( some things that I’m looking at in my personal time)

Initiation is critical to our psychic maturation or experience of our natural self. What initiation tries to do is put us in a state where we are receptive to our own self. At least that is what it should be doing. I’m sure there are a few out there that are different. It’s designed to make us aware of what we already possess. Meditation is critical because it takes the seeds of initiation and matures them. That’s why initiations are symbolic, so that you get the essence, and you chew on it, that seed, you chew it, water it, focus on it, develop it.

Ronald J Carnahan was elected to receive the 3 symbolic Degrees of Freemasonry at January 25's Stated Communication.. New Smyrna Lodge 149 will be conducting courtesy Initiations into the Entered Apprentice Degree for William D Clarke and Ronald J Carnahan on Monday evening Feb. 21 6pm.
