The cooler season is finally upon us. TGIF! (Thank God it’s fall). I don’t know about everyone else, but this is my favorite time of the year. Although it may not get as cold as many other states, it certainly is a relief from the humid summer months. Also in fall is another season that we might not enjoy as much…DUES! Yea, it’s about that time that many fraternal organizations politely ask you to cough up some dough to help keep the clubs going. That applies to your local Forest too. Please pay your dues promptly, and maybe consider giving a couple of bucks to the MDA.
As was mentioned at our last meeting, after our December 14th meeting, we will have our annual dinner and charity auction. We have decided that the theme will be “Country Western”. I hope all of you will stay and fellowship for that event.
On December 7th, the Forest will be participating in the DeLand Christmas Parade. We have a good amount of space on the trailer, so if you would like to ride in the parade with us, please do so. Also, if you are handy or creative, you can also meet a couple of us at St. John’s Lodge 37 beforehand to prep the float. Experience not required.
I hope that all of you have a great Thanksgiving and I look forward to seeing many of you at a Forest event or around the Masonic District.
